Bell to replace injured KP

England star batsman Ian bell says that he is prepared to snatch his Ashes chance with both hands and slam the Australian bowlers. Kevin Pietersen was ruled out of the rest of the Ashes series following the Achilles surgery. Taking on Australia on his home turf at Edgbaston is what Bell has been dreaming about in all his life. With a container load of county runs under his belt, the timing could not have been in good health for the 27-year-old. Bell believes that if he is getting sledged as he has been for the past two years, he must be doing something right at the batting crease. He averages 65 at Edgbaston this summer, rattling up 670 runs overall. England leads the series 1-0 with three Tests remaining. England is optimistic that Andrew Flintoff, who claimed a five-wicket haul in the second test at Lord's, will be able to play at Edgbaston from Thursday, despite the knee injury which will end his test career after this series. Bell will be back in England's side for the Third Test thanks to Kevin Pietersen's Achilles injury, four months after being axed in the West Indies.
