Sri Lanka will be meeting Pakistan in the final match of the second edition of ICC World T20 on Sunday. Tilakaratne Dilshan played a fantastic knock and took Sri Lanka beyond the 150 mark in the second semi final against the dangerous West Indies. Sri Lanka won the match by a massive 57 runs at the Oval sending West Indies home. Jayasuriya played an unusual innings scoring 24 runs of 37 balls changing four of his bats. In the bowling department, Angelo Matthews gave Sri Lanka his best taking three important wickets in the first over itself. Marshall, Simmons and Bravo were his dismissals and Matthews had a good bowling figure of 3-16. There were tremendous individual performances all through the match. When Sri Lanka were batting, Dilshan’s innings was the best. Then Chris Gayle played calmly and scored 63 not out even though his partners were dismissed successively. Matthews and Murali bowled superbly. Mendis took 2 wickets for 9 runs and Murali took 3 wickets for 29 runs. Dilshan was named the Man of the Match. Sri Lanka and Pakistan will be playing the final match at Lord’s on Sunday.
