Murray and Fedex enter semifinals

It was an easy victory for both Andy Murray and Roger Federer in their quarter finals. Murray defeated the Spanish Juan Carlos Ferrero and Federer thrashed Croatian Karlovic. Both the top seed players won in straight sets. After an enchanting and thrilling win against Stanislas Warwinka of Switzerland in the fourth round, Murray produced a no-nonsense 7-5, 6-3, 6-2 win over Ferrero. Murray was forced by Warwinka to win the match only in the fifth set as the Swiss played extremely well. World No.2 Roger Federer reached his 21^st successive major semi final by defeating Croatian Ace Ivo Karlovic 6-3, 7-5, 7-6 in straight sets. Federer’s win was obvious but Tommy Haas’s win over fourth seeded Novak Djokovic certainly raised everyone’s eyebrows. This was the biggest shock of the tournament in which Djokovic lost to Haas 5-7, 6-7, 6-4, 3-6. Tommy Haas faces Roger Federer in the semis, the man who came so close to beating Federer at the French Open this year.

Roddick goes into semis by beating Lleyton Hewitt

Andy Roddick enters into semi finals as he defeated the Australian Lleyton Hewitt in the Wimbledon quarter finals. Roddick will now face Andy Murray in the semi finals. Murray won against Spanish player Ferrero in another quarter final. Roddick ended the tenacious Wimbledon run of Hewitt with an amazing five set quarter final victory over the Aussie 6-3, 6-7, 7-6, 4-6, 6-4. Roddick won the first set 6-3 but Hewitt came back well in the second set and won 7-6. Again Roddick fought back to get the lead in third set. Hewitt was with full of determination and guts fought back the American to win the fourth set 6-4. But in the final set, the 26 year old American ended Hewitt’s challenge thus eyeing to enter the finals here at Wimbledon for the third time. The two “Andy’s” will be playing in the semi final. In another semi final Federer plays against Tommy Haas.
